CALVIN and his FEAR
2 days ago...
late afternoon...i was out from the house to send my friend to hospital...and back home early in the evening...
Calvin: "Mommy can you see something different in me since i came back from school today?
Me: "Yes Calv...what's wrong?"
Calvin: "something scary happen in the school Mommy...and...it makes me scare"
......... pull the chair close to him
Me: "u wanna talk about it?"
Calvin: "NO Mommy! it was too scary i CAN'T tell you!"
......... try to figure it out: how to make him 'talk'
Me: "somebody scold you at school?"
Calvin: "NO"
Me: "somebody hit you?"
Calvin: "NO"
Me: "then what is the scary thing?"
Calvin: "NO Mommy! i can't tell you"
......... my alarm ON!
......... OK, its time to take it seriously!
......... i bring him to the bed room and close the door
Me: "Calvin if you share with me...maybe i can help"
Calvin: "NO mommy...i can't"
Me: "what about Daddy? u wanna share with Daddy?"
Calvin: "NO Mommy! i can't...its too scary"
Me: "Calvin if you don't share the scary thing then nobody can help you!"
......... put his hand in his head and shaking
......... i can see he feel helpless
......... the clueless from him makes me uneasy as well
......... think harder how to make him talk
Me: "Calvin in this world...only Mommy and Daddy cares about you...we will do our best to makes you feel better"
Calvin:"but i can't!"
Me:" you can trust us...we for sure will try our best...nothing can stop us to taking care of you...you are our precious!"
Calvin:"it was too humiliating...i even can't thing about it"
........ YES! YES! YES! got the clue!
........ so something about 'humiliating'
........ Fuuuh!...Thanks God!
........ his 'scary' thing is not the same like the 'scary' things in my mind!
Me: "somebody laughing on you?!"
Calvin: "NO...not somebody...everybody...all
........ he is loosen a bit! this is my chance: go on!
Me: "did u do something silly?"
Calvin: "NO! NO! NO!...i can't tell you"
Me:"did it keep bothering you?"
Calvin:"Yes i'm afraid...i'm gonna have a nightmare tonight!"
........ OK! got it!
Me:"you wanna know what's going on with you?"
Calvin: "YES!" *curiously*
........ YES! YES! YES! gear on!
........ the release feeling makes me think better....
Me:"when u scare that shows the evil is closed to you...and it keep whispering the scary things in you ear"
Calvin: "how can you see it Mommy?"
Me:"i can't see it but i know"
Calvin:"how do u know?!"
........ try to get him out of his scary zone
Me:"it's easy...if you close to Jesus...you will feel happy and joyful...buuuuuut...you will know when the evil close to you...you will feel afraid and helpless...coz its haunted you"
Calvin: "what is haunted Mommy?!"
Me: "it means it won't go...it keeps bothering you...until you do something"
Calvin: "what can i do?!" *panic*
......... this time i know Holy Spirit is move and leads me to guide him
Me: "well...maybe you are right...even you tell me or daddy...we can't help you...but...for sure...100%...Jesus can help you"
......... i can see he is response to this
......... this is the time: action!
Me: "Let's pray!"
. i put his hand in his head
. ask him to repeat after me
. do a strong eye-contact with him...then we pray...
. rebuke every evil spirit -mention it one by one
. release the power of God and the joy of the Lord
......... after that
Me: "Now you are OK!"
Calvin:"NO i'm not!"
Me: "OK...how if tomorrow i go to school and talk to Ms. Buckland...maybe she can do something for you"
Calvin nodded : *DEAL*
......... something is happen the next day @ school
