around 1 hr after we received "the news"...

Torkis was busy booked the air ticket and i was busy packing while Calvin accompanied Rebecca coz she was still crying..

suddenly...

we heard Rebecca cried out loud and Calvin ran to us saying this

"mommy...you better check on Rebecca...something strange with her"

we all ran to the bedroom...
then she told us this...

"Mommy...first time i close my eyes...it was nothing...only crying...but when i close my eyes for the second time...

i saw Jesus and Opa walk away from me...
I saw Jesus and Opa climb up the stairs to heaven
------------------------

she cried out loud coz in her mind...
her grandpa is leaving her
------------------------
but my mind got it differently
It was an answered prayer!

--------- let me take you back to many years ago

my father was born as christian
we are all christian through generations
my father was a regular attendance of Sunday service

but

He didn't show much of his faith

How he walk with Jesus
How he experience Jesus and His words
How he grow intimacy with Jesus

He was calm and quiet man
He didn't talk much
He didn't express much

we as family never saw him crying
...at all
...NO! not even once

------------------------ until 3 years back...

when my mom diagnosed with cancer

my mom was strong

but

not my father

he broke down in tears for 3 hours on my mom's lap
and nobody could console him

the time when he lost control over life
over the life of the woman that he loves the most
that time was
HIS PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS THE LORD!
------------------------

we as family testified how he changes so much
+ he started attending the prayer meeting
+ he actively involved in that prayer meeting
+ he actively pray and read Bible on devotion time with my mom
+ he even praying in tongue which he was strongly against it before

he didn't turn to be a holy person
he is still a sinner man
...but...
we can notice the changes in him

------------------------ in the last 1 year of his life

we see more of his faith

how he cried out to the Lord
how he hunger for the word of God

in fact...

that was the most struggle time in his entire life

when his body started gave up to the disease...
his faith grew stronger

the day before he went back to be with the Lord
he asked for the Bible!
he managed to read Psalm 7; Psalm 9 and Psalm 91
------------------------

what Rebecca "seen" that day was a confirmation to all of our prayer
especially my mom!
she's been a faithful intercessor for her husband for the last 38 years

ETERNAL LIFE!

i don't know...how his life started
i praise God to know...how he end his life

it was ended on earth with Jesus
he have started the eternity with Jesus

this truth seems to ruled out the grieving and mourning inside me

My father is in the best place now
My father is happier than me
and
His happiness is forever! eternal!

the grasp of eternity helps me to see his departure as a joyful thing!
-----------------------

but
when i look into the reality
i lost my guardian angel
i lost my counselor
i lost my mentor
i lost my father!

that day before everyone flying back to where they supposed to be

we gathered as a family
me as the first child
pray and commit my family into His hand
asking God to replace my father's position
for every of his role in our family

He was not too young
He was not that old either

what matter the most is...

he ended with Jesus here
he started with Jesus there
